Hello, I'm new on here... just started using LAN Speed Test. I have an ASUS K60IJ-family laptop (4-5 years old). I am testing a connection to a Netgear R7000 router with a disk share (typically, the ASUS is the bottleneck for these and other tests). My WiFi (and Ethernet) write-test and read-test speed falls dramatically as the packet size is decreased. For example:

Any ideas? Write cache is on which makes this even more bizarre. I know that performance typically improves as packet size increases (prob. due to the disk), but... Thank you.
The above attachments don't seem to open/display. The data is (over 10 packets, average speed in Mbps):
packet size write speed read speed
1,000,000 34.83 35.17
60,000 16.28 35.64
1,000 1.05 9.78
